Biography
British tenor Jack Lee joins the Young Singers Project at the Salzburger Festspiele in 2026, marking his transition into the tenor repertoire. He is a recipient of an International Opera Awards Foundation Bursary, awarded to support this transition. This follows a successful career as a baritone, highlighted by winning the 2024 Operalia Audience Prize in Mumbai.
He made his professional debut in 2022 at the Wiener Staatsoper as a member of its Opernstudio. In 2024, he sang Der König in Carl Orff’s Die Kluge at the Salzburger Festspiele, before joining the ensemble of the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, where his roles have included the title role in Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia and Guglielmo in Mozart’s Così fan tutte. He has also participated in masterclasses with Brigitte Fassbaender, Simon Keenlyside, and Joyce DiDonato.
